Questions people ask

The things asked in chat, answered short, in the words they were asked in. Every answer has a longer page; the link goes there. The search box above finds any of these by a word or two.

How do I sell something, or throw it away?

Tap it in storage and choose Sell all to vendor (coins on the spot, at the floor price) or Sell on the market (to a player, at your price). Tap it in the bag and choose Drop to throw it away; burnt food can only be sold to the vendor or dropped. Market & vendor.

Where is the vendor? Where is the stable?

Both are the depot counter: open Storage, and the Vendor tab is beside the Storage tab. The stable is the vendor selling the plain horse, and breeding is done from Storage: tap a horse there. Mounts.

Storage is full. How do I get more room?

75 slots are free. Buy one more at a time in the storage window (Buy a slot: the first for 1,000 coins, each after that half again as much, no end), or the Vein Blessing in the shop makes storage unlimited while it runs. A full storage never ends the night: what will not fit waits on the overflow tray. How it works.

Where do I see my stats, achievements and the collection log?

The trophy in the dock (More on the phone) opens Achievements; its tabs include the Collection log and Stats: every monster and boss you have felled and every thing you have made or gathered, all of them listed, with a nought where you have not started. Your combat numbers are on the Worn panel: accuracy, max hit, evasion.

How do I spend quest points?

Under Quests, the Perks: Deep pockets (a bigger bag), Quick hands (faster at every gathering and crafting job), Steady hands, Hearty meals, Quick rest. Each rank costs more than the last. Quests & perks.

Can I wear a shield with a bow or a staff? Is there gear for magic?

Yes to the shield: the slot takes any hand. But a ranger does better with a quiver and a mage with a grimoire in that slot: accuracy and strength for their own class instead of defence. Rangers wear leather, mages wear cloth, both from Crafting; bows and staffs are fletched. Gear & tools.

Does my combat level do anything, or is it all gear?

Both. Accuracy is 10 + your offensive level + gear; max hit grows with the level and gear strength; evasion is 10 + Defence + armour. A bow trains Ranged, a staff Magic, a blade Melee, and every fight trains Defence and Hitpoints a third each. Combat.

What happens when I die?

Brought to zero in a zone you drop what you carry and wake at a depot at full health; the route ends. In a world-boss raid you keep the pack. Set Eats at higher and carry more food, or fight something easier. Combat.

Is there a cooldown on eating? Can monsters crit?

One meal a tick at most, when health falls under your Eats at line. No crits: every blow rolls between one and the max hit, on a fixed beat. Good fish (uncommon or better) also give +25% damage for a while. Food & items.

What are gnawed charms, bog pearls and the other monster drops for?

The charms that beasts drop go into gloves (the thieving tool) with a hide; the Gnawed charm has no use yet. Bones and dust go into every Herblore flask; hides into leather. Every item page says what it is used in. Every item.

Where do Voidshards, rough gems, sage and nightshade seeds come from?

Voidshards drop from kills and bosses. Rough gems are an extra drop while mining. The vendor sells Potato seed, Glowcap spore, Turnip seed, Sage seed; the other crop seeds turn up while chopping trees, the Nightshade seed from the Silk stall, and Pepper and Dragonleaf seeds from the world bosses. A harvest gives back only the seeds you sowed. The page Where things come from has every item and its sources.

Does the hot skill, the food buff and the town goal work while I am offline?

Yes, all of them: the night is simulated with the same rules as the day, tick for tick, so a buff in force at the hour counts.

Do rarer tools and gear make a difference?

A rarer tool gathers faster and finds rarer things; rarer gear hits harder and guards better; rarer food heals more and buffs longer; rarer horses walk faster. The exact multipliers are under Gear & tools (Rarity). Enhancing adds +6% of the base per + on top, +15% on a horse.

I failed an enhance and lost my +. Did I lose the item?

No. A failed attempt drops the piece back to +0 and keeps it. With a protection scroll set, a miss from +2 or higher costs one + and the scroll instead. Crafting skills (Enhancing).

Farming: do I get xp only from harvesting? Can it run by itself?

Planting, watering on the beat and harvesting all pay xp. A farming route plants, tends and harvests on its own, and fetches seeds from storage; more plots open with the level. Farming.

The market: can I see what I sold? Sell to one person? Sell rare versions?

History in the market window lists your own buys and sales, newest first. To sell to one person, trade at the counter: tap them and choose Trade. Rare versions are listed under the item with a variant chooser on the sheet. Market & vendor and Trading with a player.

Mounts: where is the horse, does breeding happen by itself, can I take an enhancement off?

Buy the plain horse at the vendor from total level 150, or find one working (an ironman never finds one). Breeding is a choice: tap a horse in storage at the counter and choose Breed; only +0 horses breed, and a + cannot be taken off. It is seen only while you walk. Finds are not retroactive. Mounts.

What is the flame with a number in the top bar?

Your login streak: how many days in a row you have been here. Every day you come back pays coins, 100 on the first and 50 more per day up to 1000. Miss a day and it starts over. Hover or press the flame for what tomorrow pays.

How do I message someone?

Press their name in chat and choose Message. The DM tab opens, addressed to them; answer there without picking a name again. Or write /w Name hello in any tab.

What do guilds do?

A shared level everyone raises with their xp; each level pays every member a little more xp, with a tag on the name and a chat of their own. How it works (Guilds).

Who gets the world boss loot?

Everyone who landed a hit, in proportion to damage dealt: the pool is split so that anyone who hit at all gets a share while it lasts. The fall names the top few in chat. Bosses.

Is there a changelog? Will progress be wiped?

The changelog is posted in Discord (#changelog; the link is in the dock). Nothing is wiped by an update: every save is carried forward.

What does Founder mean beside a name?

A title bought with a founder pack in the first weeks, worn for good. It is not the developer: the developer is Phocked, marked DEV in chat.

A table with no header? Some Codex screens are prose in the game and only look tabular when exported. Where the pipeline could not find a header row it leaves the text above as it came, rather than inventing columns.
